I think a sex trafficker got away from me and I am pissed. I’m a former police officer and I always carry anyway. Being alert to my surroundings as well as unconsciously watching the weaker and more vulnerable while I’m out, is just something I do without thinking.

I was riding my scooter when I stopped at Casey’s to get a drink. As I was leaving, a vehicle caught my attention at a restaurant next door. The car stopped just off the highway, blocking the entire entrance to the restaurant. I mumbled, what a dumbass. Then he gets out and walks to the passenger side and opens the door. He positioned his body as if to block her exit. Then he “helped” her out of the car. He kept one hand on her arm and the other around her shoulder and led her into the restaurant.

By then, I was convinced something was bad wrong. So they would not see me coming, I zipped around back and parked on the other side and went in expecting to see him standing outside the bathroom door. I looked all over and asked the cashier if she saw a man with a blond woman just then. She said they just left. I ran outside and they were gone.

I was convinced he held her against her will and already I’d decided that he wasn’t leaving unless it was in cuffs or on a stretcher. I don’t know how they got gone so fast. Within 30 seconds I parked my scooter and was headed inside. It had me so pissed off that I didn’t stop him or help her, if she indeed needed it. No one will ever convince me it was anything but forced participation.

Moral of the story: If I can see something like this in Lenoir City, TN population idk maybe 10K, then it’s happening everywhere. Stay alert but be armed if you want to confront one of these sick freaks. If all you can do is follow safely while on the phone with dispatch, then do that. Things are steadily getting worse and we all need to do what we are capable of doing. Keeping them in sight while you call 911 is very helpful. Just be safe in whatever you do.
